I was informed by a cousin via a social media site this morning of my mother's death almost a week ago. There has been a rift between my immediate family and me for several years now. I would like to share how I decided to handle the situation and hope this can be of use for others in a similar dilemma.

Hi Sarah,

Nice to meet you.

My philosophy has always been to move forward, be proactive. When from time to time I find myself in circumstances that could really bog me down, I just put forth more energy to get the new momentum going.

It works and makes me feel great.

I'm looking forward to sharing here and making new friends.

Take care.

Viviann

Viviann,

My apologies.  Obviously I hadn't watched your video when I commented on the Friend request page.  Thank you for your thoughtful video; it was, in its way, very pastoral.  You did well.
