I think it can all be summed up with one statement, “enough already”. It is about time for all the parties involved to shut their pie holes and stop with the lies and exaggerations. It serves no purpose other than to further polarize the factions and the nation. There comes a point that with all the rancor and distortions, too much damage is done and neither party involved can walk back from the brink.
I will take no sides in this childish fight other than to say if you had acted like this as a youngster you would get a smack on the ass and be sent to your room. If you called people names the way they are doing now you would have had your mouth washed out with soap. If you had continued your demeaning diatribe, you would have had ALL your privileges suspended.
Come to think of it, that final item might be what should happen to these imbeciles that call themselves public servants. Let’s take away their privileges. The privilege that seems most appropriate to me to take away is their health care benefits. They are free you know. We are the ones paying the premium you know. They get them for life you know.
These true and loyal civic leaders that have only our best interests at heart are on the health care gravy train. Their insurance can’t be terminated because they have a major health issue. The rates don’t go up because of too many claims or if they do, they don’t pay it.
Let’s see how they can deal with the reality of finding insurance after they have been declined with a pre-existing condition. Let’s see what they do when they have a major illness and their insurance provider decides not to cover that major expense. Let’s see how they fair when they face bankruptcy due to medical expenses. Let’s see how they react to treatment when they have to decide to cut their pills in half or limit the amount of chemo they can take because they have to make choices based on what they can afford.
Who are these self-righteous icons of society that think they have all the answers but are so out of touch with the American people that they don’t even know the question?
This whole system of health care needs a change but I’m afraid that, just like the financial institutions, they have screwed it up so royally that it can’t be fixed without tearing it down and starting all over again. That just might be too much to attain.
Let’s start a campaign to insure that every government official is required to be a part of the new system and they get exactly the same as they give us. No special privileges. No special health care rules. Let’s have them pay for their own healthcare just like we do, and then maybe they will figure out what is really going on out here. If it is good enough for us then it is good enough for them.
Now if you ever think that will happen, then come talk to me about the ocean front property I have for sale here in Arizona. It’s real cheap, but if I sell enough of it I can pay my health care insurance premium this month.
