Boomer Authority™

Please join me in saluting Martin Diano.  Here is a baby boomer who had a vision to connect fellow baby boomers around the world and to give us a platform to showcase what we do.

For those of you who don't know, Martin has just announced his retirement and turned over the helm of this awesome networking site to Doug Fitzgerald.

Martin was always busy wheeling and dealing behind the scenes to put us in the forefront.  His partnerships with a number of key resources opened doors that may have, otherwise, been closed to us. He fought tirelessly to give us a voice on the internet.

I became acquainted with Martin through a third party.  It took awhile but I began to appreciate his vision and his genuine interest in serving ALL boomers.  With the creation of Boomer Authority, Martin gave us all a voice to demonstrate our expertise.  Sadly, however, many of those voices were never heard and, from my point of view, there was not much bonding---but more self-serving attitudes.

In 2010, my organization Boomer Diva Nation, honored Martin as one of our Top Boomer Men----but based on all that Martin has done for this Group, he is a Top Boomer Men for the Century!

Thank you Martin for all you have done for Boomer Authority!

Without Martin there would have been no Boomer Authority and a place where we could go and "toot our own horns."  Some of us are so busy tooting our own horns that we forget about those who have paved the way for us.

Absolutely, Beverly. Martin has been and is an inspiration to me and no doubt to many others. He's what in Australia we would call A Top Bloke - a least those of us over about 50 would call him that (younger ones probably some American expression - "cool dude" perhaps? :)) I was honoured that Martin asked me to be the BA chairperson for Australia and impressed by his charming persuasiveness at the time so I accepted, although I must admit I have not broken any records in living up to that.

Beverly, I agree with you. Thanks for starting this thread. Martin has worked hard to further the cause of baby boomer entrepreneurs, small business owners and boomer bloggers. Good luck to him as he travels to Italy for much needed R&R. Best wishes to you, Martin.

Beverly, so are so kind and generous with your remarks. Knowing all the work you do on behalf of Boomers - - and particularly women boomers -- you are deserving of many honors as well. Keep up your terrific work.

Best,

Martin
