Whoever said it’s all down hill during middle age years reflects doom and gloom in their thought life. The natural forces of life will attempt to make one think that our latter years of life read, “Yea though we walk in the valley of the shadows of death…” and let’s say that it may for many. It goes on to say, ‘…. fear no evil….’ for God is with us, even after 50. As we embody the right perception about ourselves, an exciting and inner reward awaits us. We become what we keep thinking. The more we have awakened; the more we are blooming.

I had a dream a few years ago that left me elated when I woke up. It was a dream of hope. It taught me to not give up and not give in to pressures in spite of current circumstances. In the dream, I was traveling up a hill in an automobile. There were cars turned upside down. Some were sliding down ward, but one of the keys to my dream was to not look back or stop but to keep moving forward, slowly but….upward. I made it to the top, and at the top were young adults!

Our young need us! We have wisdom and experience that their lives have not given them yet! If we will own up to our own individual mistakes, learn from them. Allow our God to refine us to make us shiny as a gold coin, the great I AM can and will use us for His glory. With a righteous perception and reaching everyday for a renewed way of thinking, many of us will reach our God given destiny. We must keep our hands to the plow and not turn back. Cultivate a tenacious attitude and keep moving forward.

May represents the month we celebrate our mothers…the one who exemplifies giving birth. What’s so beautiful in giving birth is that we all have this hope within us to give birth to a dream, a change or a purpose. As we set our eyes on the beautiful flowers this month, envision yourself as blooming…

Our latter years truly can become our greatest years. Remember, we all have value and purpose as long as we have breath in our bodies and the great I AM lives from within. What God began He will complete… in us.

 Keep your hands on the plow and not look back
 Keep moving forward
