I've been away for several months. Broke my ankle in July while crossing the border from the US to Canada so have been recuperating. Am back to cycling and learning to live in Canada I look forward to participating more here and am enjoying looking through the posts.I cycle everyday and have learned how to balance myself on slippery, snowy roads. The key is to stay off the glazed over parts. I am actually starting to enjoy cycling in inclement weather. It is definitely refreshing!!See More

Tell me about your mother. Did she have a long illness? Is your father still living?
I'm three-times an orphan. My father, my mother and my step-father have all passed on, as have my two brothers. That leaves only my sister and me. Do you have other family?
I don't mean to overwhelm you with questions, but after sixteen years as a United Methodist pastor and more funerals than I can count, I know that sometimes the kindest thing you can do for the bereaved is to give them an opportunity to talk about the loved-one that they lost.
God be with you during the difficult time.
