The Carmelite Order is Roman Catholic. First order refers to the monks; Second Order is made up of cloistered nuns; Third Order is made up of lay people - men and women who live in the world but follow the Rule and take the same vows of poverty, chastity and obedience like the monks and nuns. For more information, you can Google OCDS and find web sites related to this.
Hello again, Peter~
It's been a while since I've logged on to BA...life has been rather hectic lately. You asked about my interests - and I've added on to my previous response - well, there are many but to name a few: volunteer work ( I've done conflict resolution workshops in the prisons and community), world travel ( all 7 continents), political action (Code Pink), but most of all, living my faith. I'm a Third order Carmelite.
How nice to hear from you! I'm a retired educator turned writer and at the moment I'm busy with the promotion of my latest book. I have many interests, among which are world travel and volunteer work...too much to go into detail here. You are welcome to visit my web site:www.maturingmodernwomen.com to find out more about my book ~ and me.
Now...what about you?
All the best,
