Breathing Space: at home and in the office.

Imagine having more breathing space. It could mean less chaos, less clutter and most of all, less stress.

Breathing space means less noise and busyness along with open space around you at work and home.

This allows your mind to focus on one thing at a time. Focusing on one thing clearly creates a productive environment with less stress.

Simple ideas to create more breathing space:

Unplug for at least 30-minutes a day! Then you can try… Continue

Make Friends with Change

Years of change have formed a strong foundation for my life. I know in my heart that change often enriches my life yet it takes me a while to see the friend that change can be. Often a grieving process for the old holds me captive which blinds me to the new possibilities.

I found this to be the case for me a couple of years ago. Living on a farm in Central New York I get to experience nature, animals and (as they say) God in the details. For me, there is no greater joy than to… Continue

Meditation for All Ages

Meditation For All

I struggle every day with finding the time to meditate, as I'm sure many of you do. I do meditate in my bath in the morning, yet I want more. I am currently reading a new book, Emotional Freedom by Judith Orloff, a woman I just adore. Here is what she said about meditation: "Feelings of freedom begin to percolate in us when we calm down. Meditation is the golden standard of calming techniques...meditation quiets your mind and reprograms your biology. She goes on to say… Continue

Judith,
Thank you kindly for inviting me to be your friend. I'm intrigued with your work, and its applicability to those who do caregiving for one or more members of their family. Having had that experience myself, I am very much aware of how stressful it is--particularly for those of us who have other pressing personal and professional obligations. I'd like to invite you to visit my website (http://www.greatplacesinc.com) and consider posting some guest blogs for our visitors. Again, thanks for this invitation!

Hi Judith - glad we could connect here. How did you do this wonderful page -- I need one! If you know any nature-based women dreaming of a western escape this summer, I have a powerful retreat in northern New Mexico August 9-14. It's called Quest for your Authentic Leader and inspires self-acceptance AND discovering that next step that is calling to your heart. It also has daily mindfulness meditation instruction, hiking, delicious vegetarian food, private little casitas and lots more. More info available at www.truelifecoach.net. Help me get the word out east of the Mississippi! ... with gratefulness, V
