As Founder & CEO of Inner Affluence™ my coaching practice specializes in working with high-achieving career women in midlife who are looking to increase their sacred capital. For these women, the desire to play a bigger game requires a strong profit motive, but making money is no longer the goal. The goal is a search for significance, a journey to uncover the wealth of the self, a rite of passage to their highest purpose, and to a life that is as unique as their fingerprint.

In addition to being an entrepreneur, I am a speaker, published author and poet, and am currently writing a book about women journeying through midlife.

A Search for Significance

While working on developing products and services for the coming year, it occurred to me that I needed to ask a number of questions of the women I serve or hope to serve before I can create a workshop, retreat, e-book, or any other product that is spot on. So I began to do just that, and have…

Following Your Bliss as a High-Achieving Career Woman Requires Getting Nekked

When I first began feeling the rumblings that I wanted to change careers and follow my bliss, I continually chided myself for entertaining such “pie-in-the-sky” thoughts at my age. I was 41.

When I wasn’t sticking pins in my own balloon, I was freaking out about what exactly I’d actually…

Planes, Trains and Preference by L’Oreal Hair Color

This week we celebrated World Gratitude Day, which was launched in 1965 at the International East-West Center in Hawaii during a Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by meditation guru Sri Chinmoy. Those in attendance, including delegates and high-ranking officials from more than a dozen…

Midlife: A "Do Over" for Career Women

Someone asked me the other day why I refuse to refer to the transition that occurs for most career women in midlife as a “crisis.” While it’s true that the word “crisis” means a crucial or decisive point or situation, or a turning point, it also has about it an air of instability and…

The Gift of a Wound That Never Heals

Following a brief conversation earlier this week with a woman I’d known only peripherally during my corporate days, I continued to feel off balance, as if something from my past kept tugging at me, but my mind refused to acknowledge it.

She shared with me that one of her teenage sons had…

Always happy to meet a new friend. Your enterprise sounds very worthwhile. I was thinking just today about finding ways to get my book into the organizations that need it without having to subsidize it. Breaking even would work for me. Maybe you came into my life at exactly the right time. Thanks!

Hi Evelyn, I love your articles! I agree with you that "midlife crisis" is not as comprehensive of all that is happening during midlife as is “midlife transition” or “midlife awakening”. Thank you for sharing your inspired thoughts.

Hello Evelyln! Welcome to my life! I am very pleased to say that today, I've finally connected to what I hope will be the answer to my prayers as well as those who are in search of alternative health care: IN the next few days, will reflect those changes. Looking forward to joining you in your efforts to enlighten "boomers" into a bright future...on the "Road Less traveled."
