Rambling Thoughts: After the Blog Talk Radio Show

Wake- up America!

Denial seems to be the number one past time of Americans today...especially the women of the United States! Not only do many women deny that they are in Mid-life Crisis…they deny that they could ever become addicted to the Internet, WHICH they use as a tool in the Crisis itself! Let’s not forget the complete denial about being victimized by a predator…OH! NO! Heaven Forbid!

Last week I posted an article on several women’s social networking sites on… Continue

Internet Addiction and Women

In my experience as a writer, researcher and coach for Women in Mid-life Crisis and Depression the number one escape used to be your typical offenders...alcohol, drugs, shopping and more than likely the "affair"...all are addictions or the drug of choice. BUT...the newest drug of choice which is used to feed the other drug..."The Affair"...is now the Internet. Women have given themselves permission to use the Internet as a tool to have what they believe as innocent dalliances with men. It has… Continue

Postcards from Oz: We're off to See the Wizard

I recently received a post at my forum, Women in MLC from a woman who was really confused and had been struggling with all the changes that had been occurring during mid-life transition. This woman had been silently suffering, while her children left the nest, her parent's health deteriorated, her husband work schedule increased and she continued to be the caretaker of them all. She was feeling empty, alone, desperate, confused...hopeless. The… Continue

Amy, from the times and dates you and Victoria had for our 3 way call, there is no overlap. I've not yet found a way to send an email to the both of you at one time, I'm wondering if it might be easier to just use regular email? karen@wrightminded.com. Would still like to set up a time for next week. Let me know what's open for you. Have a great weekend. Karen

Amy I just linked up with Victoria Fitz... hm, I seem to have forgotten her last name just now. Anyway she is on your friends page. I liked what she was saying to you. Have you had a conversation with her? I thought it would be great if we all could be on a call together and get to know one another. I proposed this to her just now and I won't have email or phone for the next 3 days...if you like this idea and you two can come to agreement on a few days and times, let me know...and as long as it's not Tuesday, I can probably do one of the times. Hi Amy, glad that things are slowing down a bit, we all need that. I'm headed out of town in 2 hours for the rest of the week. How does next week look for you? I'm busy Tuesday but the rest is looking pretty good. Give me a time or two and we'll see if they match up with my mine. Karen

Amy, I lead Retreats of Self-Discovery and Authentic Leadership for women. I'd love to connect with you about what your vision is. I believe that midlife is a natural time for women to come home to their Beloved selves after many years of family, friends and career. The call to listen to your deepest longings becomes so strong. This is a wonderful and natural journey - however without some guidance, it can get off track. When the messages are not clear, unhealthy issues arise. I coach women to live from the inside out, not blown by the winds of culture. To listen and respond to their inner voice. This can definately rock the boat of long term arrangements but is in service of living your True Life, which ripples out to empower others too. I find this time of my life full of excitement, adventure and continuing to bring my gifts to the world. As another resource, I recommend Christiane Northrup's fabulous tapes on Menopause. Write and let's talk! Victoria
